Hi, I’m Captain Kevin, and I’ve been fishing Lake Michigan and the Great Lakes for over 20 years. I earned my first captain’s license in 2004, and since then, I’ve had the privilege of fishing with and learning from some of the most respected and experienced captains on Lake Michigan. My experiences extend to various ports across different states, allowing me to develop a diverse range of techniques for targeting fish throughout the entire fishing season. Whether you're interested in Chicago fishing or specifically Chicago salmon fishing, my goal is to ensure you have the best possible chance at a successful trip with Reel Chaos Chicago.
"Reel Chaos" is a Tiara 3100 Open sport fishing boat, stretching 31 feet in length, designed for ultimate comfort while you're out on the water for fishing adventures. It’s outfitted with the latest Raymarine electronics, including GPS, graph/chart plotters, traditional 3D sonar, and radar. Our tackle setup features Shimano Telora rods paired with Shimano Tekota and Okuma Coldwater reels, all loaded with premium line and terminal tackle. To get your baits down to the right depth, we rely on Magnum Metal Z downriggers.

Your safety is our top priority. We meet and exceed all US Coast Guard and state DNR regulations, so feel free to ask our crew about any safety features. Bring your own food and drinks, and don’t forget a cooler for your catch. We’ll take care of filleting your fish for you, but tips for the Captain and crew are always appreciated.
We run a drug-free boat, and both the Captain and crew are subject to random drug testing to ensure a safe and professional experience.

A $200 deposit is required to secure your charter. We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards (please note that a 3% processing fee will be added to your charter rate when paying with a credit card). Additionally, we also use PayPal and Venmo for your convenience. Your captain and crew put a great deal of time and effort into preparing for your fishing adventure and are dedicated to ensuring you have a successful and enjoyable time on the water. A customary tip of 15%-20% for the crew is respected and greatly appreciated as a gesture of gratitude. Cancellations or changes to reservations can be accommodated up to 21 days before your scheduled trip. Please note that trips are not canceled due to rain; only unsafe lake conditions will lead to cancellations. Weather-related cancellations can be rescheduled or fully refunded, allowing you to experience the best of Lake Michigan fishing in Chicago with Reel Chaos Charters.
